Position Title Coordinator of Culinary Operations

Essential Duties
  • Assists the Director in the development of funding, budget and office coordination for support of academic unit consisting of six full-time faculty and adjuncts.
  • Exercises judgment and decision making responsibility related to coordination of special catering events on and off campus as part of the academic program or community service.
  • Exercises judgment and decision making responsibility related to coordination of purchasing and procurement for events and academic program needs.
  • Provides assistance in the development, design, and distribution of mail-outs, flyers, brochures, and other promotional materials for the Institute.
  • Coordinates media coverage for special functions and events.
  • Provides information to the Director in the form of reports on revenue expenditures and cost effectiveness of events.
  • Writes purchase requisitions, processes invoices and maintains financial records for all CAI accounts including grants.
  • Coordinates and supervises all student worker activities, including time sheets and payroll vouchers.
  • Coordinates tour groups and individual student applicants to the program.
  • Takes mail and picks up mail at campus post office. Stamps, sorts and distributes mail; answers telephones, routes calls, and records messages and greets visitors.
  • Composes and types general correspondence and maintains inventory of office supplies, selects vendors, initiates purchases thereof.
  • Maintains inventory records of equipment and furnishings, monitors facilities for physical plant repairs and routine maintenance; coordinates times for scheduled maintenance to be performed.
  • Participates on University committees and represents the Institute in campus as requested or assigned.
  • Maintains paperwork for adjunct faculty, prepares PAFs and maintains Institute personnel files.
  • Other reasonable duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
·¡»å³Ü³¦²¹³Ù¾±´Ç²Ô:Ìý
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; professional knowledge equivalent to a bachelor’s degree required

Experience:
  • Minimum of three years administrative experience in a professional office environment required
  • Accounting, budgeting, and office management experience
  • Spreadsheet and word processing skills
  • Banner experience preferred
Job Description Summary
The Coordinator of Culinary Operations is responsible for assisting the Director of the Culinary Arts Institute with various initiatives.
Hours of Availability
Typically Monday – Friday, 8 am to 5 pm
