Essential Duties
  • Facilitate intramural events and competitions by drawing up and posting brackets, scheduling playing times, scheduling officials and scorekeepers, keeping IM Leagues updated.
  • Overseeing event registration, checking eligibility of team members, and communicating with team captains.
  • Insure intramural events are conducted under safe conditions.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork accurately.
  • Keep records of relevant statistics.
  • Assist with the training of Intramural officials for all major sports.
  • Secure and schedule all officials for intramural events and act as replacement official when necessary.
  • Assist with Campus Recreation special events when needed.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be available to work late afternoons and evenings Monday through Thursday.
  • Individuals must be willing and able to lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs.
  • Must have a basic understanding of the rules governing the following sports: football, basketball, softball, volleyball, dodge-ball, ultimate frisbee, and racquetball.
Job Description Summary
Work within a structured program assisting with the overall coordination of Intramural Sports. Work directly with the Assistant Director of Intramurals in all of the program areas, receiving hands-on practical experiences. Provide on-site supervision of scheduled intramural activities. Capable of making decisions, problem solving, resolving conflict in group situations, and capable of acting in a professional manner while performing their duties.
